Menustan

A till that runs in a browser and does not stop when the line does.

Load shedding, a dead uplink, an ISP outage. The sale still completes, the receipt still prints, and the queue syncs when the connection returns without ever charging twice.

WhatsApp number not supplied yet (config.CONTACT.whatsappNumber)

When the lights go out, the till does not.

Each sale is written to the tablet and printed before the till tries to reach any server. Nothing waits on the network.

  1. Internet drops Load shedding, a dead uplink, an ISP outage.
  2. Sale completes Written to the tablet first, not to a server.
  3. Receipt prints Thermal bytes go straight to the printer.
  4. Queue drains Syncs when the line returns. No double charge.

Runs on hardware you can already afford

Any browser, any device

A cheap Android tablet or any desktop. There is no Windows licence to buy, no dedicated point of sale terminal and no installer to run. It installs as a web app from the browser.

Real thermal printing

Customer receipts and kitchen tickets print as ESC/POS bytes straight to standard 58mm and 80mm printers, over Bluetooth or USB-C. Not through a browser print dialog.

Urdu on the kitchen ticket

Item names print in Urdu where a translation has been entered. Urdu is sent to the printer as an image, because thermal printers carry no Urdu character set.

Two counters, no duplicate receipts

Each terminal issues its own receipt numbers. Two counters can both sell while offline, and when the two queues sync back neither one has produced a receipt number the other already used.

Also in the admin panel

  • A sales report over a date range, with a per item breakdown.
  • Sales by hour, and a payment method split.
  • A printable day summary.
  • Staff logins with roles, including one that hides revenue figures.

Limits worth knowing before you buy

  • No refund or void once a sale has synced. A mis-rung sale can be undone at the till for about 20 seconds.
  • No FBR, PRA, SRB or GST integration. No tax fields, no fiscal invoice numbers, no QR code on the receipt.
  • No discounts, comps, coupons or split payment.
  • No stock or inventory tracking.
  • No table management or floor plan.
  • No multi branch. One account manages one location.

Questions about the till

Does the till keep working when the internet goes down?

Yes. The till writes each sale to the tablet and prints the receipt before contacting any server, so a sale completes during load shedding or an ISP outage. The queue syncs later and cannot double charge.

What hardware is needed to run the till?

The till runs in a web browser, so a cheap Android tablet or any desktop computer works. No Windows licence and no dedicated point of sale hardware is needed. Thermal printers connect over Bluetooth or USB-C.

Can the kitchen ticket print item names in Urdu?

Yes. Item names print in Urdu on the kitchen ticket where a translation has been entered. Urdu is sent to the printer as an image, because thermal printers have no Urdu character set of their own.

Can two counters use the till at the same time while offline?

Yes. Each terminal issues its own receipt numbers, so two counters can both sell while offline without ever producing a duplicate receipt number when the two queues sync back.

Can a sale be refunded or voided after it is rung up?

A mis-rung sale can be undone at the till within about 20 seconds. After a sale has synced there is no refund or void function, so corrections after that point have to be handled outside the system.

Is the system integrated with FBR or PRA for tax?

No. This system has no FBR, PRA, SRB or GST integration, no tax fields, no fiscal invoice numbers and no QR code on the receipt. A shop that needs fiscal reporting must handle that separately.
